Just for fun

Oh, while I was cleaning up my "My Documents" folder (since it's the end of the semester), I found this silly thing I had written on my phone from a few months back. Mama and I had gone to the dentist for a cleaning/check-up, and the waiting times were really, really long and dull, so I wrote this derpish thing while we waited for the doctor. Anyway, I was thinking of just deleting it or whatever, but then I thought of posting it over here just for fun. [Disclaimer: Your IQ may plummet dramatically (or even disappear entirely) after reading such pointless idiocy.]

Dr. Schnurrbart stood at the doorway, an ominous silhouette whose heavy perfume had Pippa gagging silently in the dental chair. As the doctor stepped into the fierce glare of the fluorescent lamp overhead, Pippa was able to get a quick once-over of her, a portly tan woman in her late thirties. Her frizzled copper hair was tied in a messy ponytail; loose strands of hair swept over two shiny, shiny eyes. As Pippa's eyes traveled down the doctor's face, she stumbled upon a most disturbing feature: a slick twirl of mustache curving just beneath the shiny parrot nose and tapering to a curly point beside the blinding show of teeth.

Pippa turned away dubiously, blinking rapidly at what she was sure was a mere trick of the light. She risked a furtive glance back at Dr. Schnurrbart, and sure enough, the mustache was there; its glossy tips seemed to wriggle at her wickedly. In her shock, Pippa nearly toppled the book from her lap, but she promptly regained her wits and shut the book to its cover.

Her sudden flurry of movement, however, did not escape the doctor's notice; one shining, beady eye swiveled in the direction of the book. Something faltered in the doctor's smile. Puzzled, Pippa followed the woman's stony gaze to the cover of her book, feeling her throat close up with a painful realization: in shining gold letters spanning the width of the scarlet volume was the fateful title A Mustache in Venice.
